Day 155

Today we went to orthopedics. The doctor said Gabriella broke her arm good. When she does something she always does it good, that's for sure!  She broke two different bones in two different areas. He wants to monitor her every week for the next 6 weeks. He said they way she broke it, if she were an adult, he would do surgery on her right now. But since she is so young and her bones are still growing, it may move back in to the right spot and heal on it's own. That is why he wants to monitor it every week. He will know within a few weeks if she will have to have surgery. If they do surgery she will have to get external pins put in her arm. YUCK! I'm not sure how I will handle that one! That kind of creeps me out.

She had to get a cast up to her arm pit, which she is not very happy about! LOL If she starts healing well, she can get a smaller cast in a couple of weeks. With a little encouragement (heh heh), she chose hot pink! I LOVE it! It soooo fits her personality! When we go back next week, she will get a new cast....wonder what color she will get this time. Now is the fun part! Off to get everyone to sign her cast!!!! I am first though! ;)

Day 154

Today I took my little gimpy to Jennifer's house so she could cut her hair. Gabriella was a little nervous, I had faith in Jennifer.

Jennifer did a great job!!!!! I am very pleased at how it turned out. It looks so healthy and nice again! Thank you Jennifer!!!!!

Day 153

I got this beautiful card today from a dear friend. Karina made this card just for me! ;) I LOVE IT! I was so happy to get this. It was just what I needed today. She did a beautiful job on it. This is my favorite card she has done so far! Thank you so much Karina!!!

Day 152

We are pet sitting again! This is Goose. He is 6 months old and is HUGE! He's also a little crazy! LOL It's like have Bella all over again. We sure do miss Bella.

This is Juliet. She's a sweet dog.

Juliet is the ONLY dog that has ever played with this toy. For some reason, no one else was interested in it. So, she will be going home with it.

Day 151

Yesturday we went to a skating birthday party for Mycah and Trinity Parsons. Everyone had a great time! Right as the party was ending, Gabriella fell and hurt her wrist. She complained about it all night and it was keeping her form sleeping. So, I decided to take her to get it checked out today.

Of course, most of us know she is not a very good patient! I saw the evil side again that came out when she had her surgery!

Here she is getting X-rays. She gave those poor girls a run for their money!

This is the bruise on her knee. I guess she had a pretty hard fall.

Ahhhh, finally home! She ended up breaking two bones in her arm. I really didn't think she broke anything. I guess she had a reason to be grumpy!

They put a half cast on her until we go to orthopedics to see what they say.

Day 150

And here it is! The finish product. I made my first piece of clothing! It's a little wonky, but I am still happy with the results.

I actually had enough material to make two dresses, so I made one for her friend Trinity.

They looked cute in their matching dresses!

Day 149

I spent my WHOLE Saturday sewing!!!!!  I cant wait to see the finishes product.

Day 148

Today I trimmed back all of my bushes. My rose bush was monstrous! As I begin to start trimming it back, we found a bird nest! We were super excited. We've never had a bird nest in our yard, and Gabriella has never seen a real one in person. This is a science lesson folks!

Unfortunately, I think this nest was from last year. It was empty. No sign of mother bird or eggs. Oh well, maybe next year.

Day 147

Today we out to check on the garden as we usually do. I was startled by a loud scream and Gabriella running into the yard. In a panic I asked her what in the world was wrong. She said "I almost watered it!!!!!" Uh-ok. I'm confused. I got to look at what she's talking about and we have a frog! ;) I laughed so hard! It was the funniest thing! My neighbor was outside and he was even laughing!!!!

Our "friend frog".

Day 146

My poor zucchini! :( I am not sure what happened and I'm really sad. As everyone is having a bountiful harvest, me.....not so much!

Day 145

Oh how we love scentsy!!!!! I took this picture at Jennifer's house. Most of my friends have a love for scentsy bars. I think Jennifer is a little obsessed! ;)

Day 144

And this is how we do fruit! YUM! I have tried everything to get Gabriella to eat a variety of fruit. This chocolate dip was my last resort. So far it's only working on the apples, but I sure did enjoy it all! ;)

Day 143

So once again, I am behind on my blog. I guess my life is a little more busier than I thought. So this blog is for 2 Sundays ago. ;) Be prepared to be updated for about the past 2 weeks. I was having trouble starting my grill for a while and thats made me really sad. We love to grill out in the summer time. Well, it turns out that a little gas cures all. LOL Oooops! I bought a new tank and it started! Yay! I was so excited that we decided to grill out right then and there, of course all we had to grill was hot dogs. ;)

Day 142

WE HAVE A LITTLE ZUCCHINI! LOL I am so excited!!!! This has been really fun for Gabriella and I. Every morning she wakes up and can not wait to go out and check our plants! She waters them, pulls weeds, and measures how big they are getting. She is able to see how hard works pays off. Now this is something you cant learn in a traditional school. She may even actually eat some of the veggies. ;) I have to admit I cant wait to check on the plants in the morning either. We have tons of flowers on our zucchini plants, so hopefully they will be very fruitful! We have have a few flowers on our squash plant. I really thought we had killed the squash! Our sunflowers are getting taller everyday and our cucumbers look like they may be getting some flowers. Now come on green beans!!!! ;)

Day 141

I make this post with a heavy heart. Our sweet Pierce is on his way to TX for a new chapter in his life. We have enjoyed watching him grow through the years. He has come along way and is growing into his own little person. Gabriella and I have gotten really close to him and are going to miss him dearly while he is gone. This is our last night with Pierce. Gabriella is reading him a book. She really was good with him and will make a great big sister one day!

Day 140

Feeling a little better and had to get out of the house! She's still not 100%, but well enough to get out of the house! This picture was taken at Sisa's. Sugar is sweetly laying with Gabriella while she plays.

Day 139

My poor baby girl did not feel well today. This is where she stayed the whole day. :(

Day 138

POOL TIME!

We went to "Sisa's" house to go swimming. Gabriella loves the pool!

She loves her "Sisa" even more!

Sugar is hanging out by the pool too. She is such a sweet dog! I am going to steal her one day! ;)

Gabriella has come a long way with swimming this year as well. She does not like to get her face in the water. But this year she has been going under water, practicing floating, and even swam a little.

Sophia finally talked Gabriella into jumping in the pool!!!!! Gabriella has always been scared to do this! I am so proud of her!

She did this several times and finally was ready to get out. ;)

Day 137

I found a monkey in our yard!!!!

Gabriella has really come out of her shell in the past year! I have never known her to be a climber! But since she's been hanging out with the Parsons kids, who climb on everything, she has picked up a few tricks! ;)

Everytime she goes outside, she tries something new. And of course I am about to have a nervous breakdown!

"Mom, watch this!" are her new favorite words.

Afterwards, her and Patty take a break on the trampoline.

So precious! I am so blessed to have these two in my life!

Day 136

Origami Night at the Arnold's house!
Gabriella and I love to do origami.....or should I say Gabriella loves to watch me do origami? We start out making something together and it ends up with me making mine and finishing hers! Oh well, it is fun and relaxing for us and we enjoy it. Here are a few things we made. This is a butterfly, one of my favorites!

This is a little snail! I like this one too!!! Mr. Snail was very hard to do and I gave up on it about three times before I figured it out. I would give up and move on to something else. But I'm slightly competitive and could not let this snail get the best of me!

Here's my grasshopper! ;)

This is supposed to be a mouse. I think something may have gone wrong, but I just love his little ears! ;)
